The Death Of Queen Elizabeth II
September 30, 2022
At age 96, the Queen Elizabeth II of England was born on April 21, 1921, ruled for 70+
years, and passed away on September 8, 2022. She died in Buckingham Palace, her estate in the
British Isles.
Elizabeth’s family announced she died peacefully but there wasn’t any cause that they told us
of. She had lost most of her hair and almost all of her teeth. Some people believe that she died from
blood poisoning because of her lead-containing makeup called “Venetian Ceruse.” This substance
was classified as poison 31 years after Queen Elizabeth’s death and she was discovered dead with a
whole face covered in makeup. Close to her death time, the Queen had a crowning ring that grew into
her skin. This was because she didn’t take off the ring during the 45 year period of her reign. The
doctors pretty much pleaded with Elizabeth to take off her ring within the same day she passed away.
Other people think that her death could have been due to pneumonia (air sacs in one or two lungs are
filled with fluid), strep throat (infected tonsils), or breast cancer. Her rumored last words were “all
my possessions for one moment in time”.
Queen Elizabeth was buried alongside her husband Prince Philip, her spouse, in St. George’s
Chapel, Windsor Castle. It is a small private ceremony attended by 29.2 million viewers in the UK,
according to the official audience data. More individuals reached 90 world leaders, 143 Royal Navy
sailors pulling the casket afterward, and plus four thousand military personnel on parade.
Representatives from Syria, Venezuela, Afghanistan, and North Korea weren’t invited since the UK doesn’t have full diplomatic relations with those countries. Russia, Belarus, and Myanmar weren’t
invited either.
Now that Queen Elizabeth has passed, her son Prince Charles III who is 73 years old serves
now as the new leader of the royal family.
I’ve asked a student at North named Sky Freedom what she thought about Queen Elizabeth’s death. She
said, “ I understand that the Queen’s death is upsetting but also at the same time, why should I really
care? The Queen has nothing to do with me since it happened in England.”
I questioned another student at North, Savanna Johnston, what she was thinking about the Queen’s death,
she voiced, “I find it sad that people don’t care as much about Queen Elizabeth’s death since she was a
really great ruler. She spoke out much about women’s rights, she cared for all races, and she was there for
her community.”
I then also questioned Ms. Krider, a teacher at North about Elizabeth and she told me, “I’ve been all over
the world, and London is my favorite city. I’ve gone to England many times and hearing about Queen
Elizabeth’s death made me sad. I love the royal family very much, on the day of her death I bought a
pepper shaker of the Queen and one of her Corrie dogs, and rewatched the crown too.”
