A man and his teenage son have been  charged with murder in connection with the death of rapper PnB Rock at a restaurant in Los Angeles on Sept. 12, the authorities said on Thursday. The father, Freddie Lee Trone, 40, who was arrested in Las Vegas on Thursday, and his 17-year-old son, who was arrested in Lawndale, California on Tuesday, were each charged with one count of murder, two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, the authorities said.Mr. Trone’s wife, Shauntel Trone, 32, was arrested in Gardena, California on Tuesday and charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to the killing according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. It was not immediately clear if they had lawyers. The 17-year-old, who has not yet been identified because he is a juvenile, is Ms. Trone’s stepson, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office said.Their arrests came weeks after PnB Rock, real name Rakim Allen, was shot while having lunch with his girlfriend at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles in South Los Angeles, in an attack that shocked his fans and the music industry. “The murder of Mr. Allen dimmed a bright light in the lives of his fans, friends and most importantly his family,” George Gascón, the district attorney in Los Angeles County, said in a statement. “The accused individuals’ alleged actions in this case were heartless and cruel and robbed the world of Mr. Allen’s talents.” The LA Police Department said on Wednesday when officers were searching for Mr. Trone that he was considered “armed and dangerous”. The person who shot Allen was demanding “property” from the rapper and was demanding the girlfriends jewelry as well before getting inside an awaiting vehicle. It has still not yet been confirmed who shot the rapper or who was driving the getaway vehicle.
