According to IHSA 13 overall wins and 6 conference wins are the most in school history.  They were tested during their MLK tournament at Jefferson High School. Their first game was against Chicago Lindblom who was ranked sixth in class 3A. North was able to compete throughout the game and they were in position to pull off the upset. Later that day, North played Marian Central Catholic. North was in control the whole game and won 68-48. The next day, North played Batavia instead of Milwaukee Bay-View because of a schedule conflict. The game was close through the first three quarters, but Batavia pulled away in the fourth quarter. North only scored one point in the fourth quarter and they lost 60-45.

Looking to bounce back from the tough loss, North played Winnebago to end the tournament. North was able to dominate the first half as the went into halftime up 23-11. North was lead by John Carlson(‘20) in the second half as he ended the game with 18 points. North ended up winning 51-40.

Behind Burns, Freeport was up eight at halftime. But North played through Carlson in the second half as he ended the game with 28 points, and North was able to hold Burns to only five points in the second half. North won in a shootout 75-65.

North has been trying to climb the conference rankings and they had the perfect chance as they hosted the Hononegah Indians. The game was close through the first half but North’s turnovers hurt them in the first half. North found themselves down five going into halftime. North was able to cut down on the turnovers in the second half and they were able to cut into the lead. Anthony Espenson was able to keep North in the game as he ended the game with 25 points. But even with Espenson’s scoring, North wasn’t able to cut the lead to less then two in the fourth quarter. They lost 51-47.
