Belvidere North Boys Track team went to Guilford in hopes of winning a sectional. The sectional was filled with very good teams, Antioch and Huntley were the top two teams at Guilford. North was still able to take tenth as a team in the sectional. North was led by Max Buetel(‘20), who took second in the 3200 meter run, and Josh Triplett(‘20), who took third in long jump. Triplett also took fifth out of 18 in triple jump. North also got top ten finishes from Elliot Powers(‘20), who took fifth in the 100 meter dash, and Natt Williams(‘19), who took eighth in the 200 meter dash. In shot put, Michael Standish(‘19) took fifth out of 32 throwers. And in the 110m hurdles, Cal Taylor(‘20) tied for seventh out of 18 athletes. North’s 4×100 team, which consisted of Natt Williams, Elliot Powers, Tristen Powers(‘22), and Jayden Mitchel(‘19), took seventh out of 14 teams. The 4×800 team of Myles Vining(‘19), Zander Casis(‘20), Noah Anderson(‘20), and Steve Brown(‘20) also took seventh out of 11 teams. In high jump, North had Zach Sederquist(‘19) and Kyle Kaempfer(‘20) each tie for ninth place. Allen Johnson(‘22) joined Triplett in the top ten at long jump as he was able to take tenth out of 21 jumpers.

North will send Max Buetel to compete at State in the 3200 meter run.
