For the first time ever in the MLB, we saw a Wild Card Series involving every team that made it to the playoffs. Due to the coronavirus, teams played a shortened 60-game season, and even teams under .500 made it to the playoffs. In the playoffs, there were 16 total teams, 8 from each league, those being the National League and the American League.

In the National League, we see the Los Angeles Dodgers advance, as well as the San Diego Padres, causing a 5-game series between the two teams in the National League Division Series. We also see the Miami Marlins advance, as well as the Atlanta Braves, causing a 5-game series between the two teams, also in the National League Division Series.

In the American League, we see the New York Yankees advance, as well as the Tampa Bay Rays, which led to a 5-games series between the two teams in the American League Division Series. We also see the Houston Astros and the Oakland Athletics advance, leading to a 5-game series between the two teams in the American League Division Series.

Within the Wild Card Series, there were eight series, three of them ending up with an upset between two teams. These teams were the Miami Marlins (6) beating the Chicago Cubs (3), the Houston Astros (6) beating the Minnesota Twins (3) , and the New York Yankees (5) beating the Cleveland Indians. (4)

The coming matchups in the Division Series during this following week are the following: Tampa Bay Rays (1) vs. New York Yankees (5) , Houston Astros (6) vs. Oakland Athletics (2), Los Angeles Dodgers (1) vs. San Diego Padres (4) and Miami Marlins (6) vs. Atlanta Braves (2). These are the coming series of each team still remaining in the playoffs and their respective seeding.
