Corona Virus update in Florida

Anthony Espensen

On April 18, 2020, Florida reopened their beaches and parks so that their residents could enjoy these natural beauties. But in a few weeks a popular Miami park and tourist attraction South Pointe park is being shut down again due to the visitors failing to social distance. Florida was one of the first states in the U.S. to open back up due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

With the virus being around like it is people are sick of staying locked up in their homes. The people of Florida are ready to get back on with their daily lives and return to normal. But a main part of normalcy in Florida is their tourist attractions, such as beaches, parasailing, deep sea fishing, disneyland and all the other attractions they have to offer. All these attractions are still postponed and not allowed to open, keeping many people out of a job, making it extremely hard for them to provide for their families and themselves.

For this all to go away we need to expose ourselves to the virus so we can build up our immune systems so the virus will easily be fought off. This is the step Florida took and hopefully more states will soon enough.
