Are you in need of buying a nice Christmas gift for someone special in your life? Is that special someone interested in art made right here in Belvidere? Then head on down to dodge lanes.
They have about 15 booths set up, from creating your own scented candles to beautiful gnome figurines made right here in Belvidere by Lorrie Vargas.
She has all types of glass gnome figurines from seasonal to sports to comedic gnomes.
“I make them with my kiln. It’s very expensive to run. I use molds to create the pieces, then I bake them in my kiln, finally, I paint them by hand. “ said Lorrie Vargas. Her beautiful gnomes sell for various prices, depending on the piece you would like to purchase.
There are jewelry and lots of festive items for this upcoming Christmas. You can buy gifts like handbags, cooking utensils, and pampered chef items.
Sadly they are only open on weekends until December 19th. Come out on a weekend and bowl then purchase some crafts.
“It was really nice to see people in our community trying to organize something that would bring everyone together during a really hard time. The only thing that all of us can do is stick together and we’ll make it through this pandemic.” said an anonymous partaker of the crafts fair.
Coronavirus has made restrictions on the fair. There’s a certain direction to walk in, a mask must be worn at all times, and the normal social distancing guidelines still apply.
