This year many schools are starting to re-open, including Belvidere North High School. Of course there are many precautions we need to take for returning to in person schools, such as wearing a mask, social distancing, and constantly washing your hands. Not everyone will return to in school learning, students and their families will have the option to stay remote learning. That means students can continue to stay home and do school. If you’re returning to Belvidere North here are a few things you should now.

First up is having to wear masks. Masks must be mandatory because they keep you and others safe. Everyone in the school will be wearing masks, not just the teachers. Another thing you should know is that social distancing will be advised. This means the school is divided up by last names. If your last name begins with an A-K will be attending school in person Mondays and Thursdays. And the rest of the students L-Z will be attending school Tuesday and Friday. Also school hours will defer. If you will be returning to school, you will be going back January 21st or the 22md depending on your last name.

All schools and grades will be different. If your child will be going back to school in the Pre-K, kindergarten or in 1st grade  they will be going back to school January 19. Everyone will also be in person learning everyday from 8- 10:15 & 12:15 – 2:30. 2nd grade through 5th grade  will return to school January 20th.

Going back to school is a decision to be made by you and your family to stay safe during this pandemic. Weather you prefer to learn in person because you can’t focus well at home or because you need extra help, you are welcome back and same said for the students choosing to stay with remote learning.
